The pride cottonrake takes in its in-house bakery is very evident, where they locally prepare one of the most extensive selections of pastries and home-baked goods I have ever seen ! With a wide range of choices spanning from sweet delights to savoury indulgences, you're sure to find a satisfying treat to suit your cravings. all coffees come with a decaffeinated option for those wishing to avoid the buzz of caffeine or working later in the afternoon.
Ambiance and Setting
Step inside, and you'll find a charming rustic aesthetic. The warm, earthy tones create an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The cafe is well lit in natural light, making it a perfect haven for those seeking a bright, cheerful workspace. It's worth noting that this is no hushed library. The cafe is often buzzing with conversation, laughter. For those who thrive in a bustling environment, it's an ideal place to get work done. However, if you prefer a quieter setting, arriving early is your best bet to secure a peaceful spot.
Ethics
This cafe bakes all their goods on-site. They source their coffee beans locally from Dear Green Roasters similar to Pasteis Lisboa, an ethical origin provider (learn more here: https://www.deargreencoffee.com/pages/the-coffee). While there's no discount for using your own cup for takeaways, they do offer a loyalty card – after 10 coffees, the next one is free, rewarding your commitment to both great coffee and responsible choices.
